Harris Local Government Contributes in Support of The Dream Center in Easley, South Carolina
Easley, SC, August 2021 – Harris Local Government, a leading provider of fund accounting, payroll, and billing software to government organizations across the United States, is pleased to announce a charitable contribution in the amount of $2,125 for The Dream Center of Pickens County.
The contribution will help The Dream Center in its mission to serve those in need through countless programs including The Opportunity Village, a comprehensive one-year homeless shelter program to help individuals grow towards becoming healthy and self-sufficient.
Ruth Niermeyer, Senior Vice President of Harris Local Government shares her own experience after visiting The Dream Center,“These small homes provide a bridge from homelessness to independence for people who need that support. The money we have raised will go towards The Dream Center’s one-year programs to give individuals a chance – to learn, to work, and to thrive.”
The charitable contribution was raised by Harris Local Government (HLG) employees as part of an internal initiative called HLG Gives, a corporate citizenship program that focuses on fundraising for charitable partners four times a year. HLG Gives will continue to run through the Fall and Winter of 2021.
